Philip leads and manages ADP’s continued growth, enabling us to deliver on our vision of “creating great environments with great people”. Bringing together our people’s innovative ideas and free-thinking engineering, Philip will support our ambition of transforming the built environment into a more sustainable and liveable place for the community.
A key focus for Philip is operational improvements, efficiencies, and developing and executing consistent outcomes and processes across all business areas to support the strategic growth of ADP.
Philip brings over 30 years of industry experience and a wealth of operational knowledge and leadership experience to the ADP team. For almost 14 years, he ran his business, Potter XP and until recently was Group Business Development Manager at BildGroup, further strengthening his operational acumen.
Starting his professional journey, he completed his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and joined Caterpillar of Australia’s graduate program as a Development Engineer and then joined Hilti Australia.
The next seven years with Hilti Australia was a great time – he spent his first years as their Vic / Tas Applications Engineer. He then became their State Manager (Vic/Tas) with a team of 11 salespeople. In 1996 moved with his family to South Korea with Hilti AG where he was the Technical Manager looking after a team of 8 engineers.
Family is central to Philip, followed in no particular order by coffee, vanilla slices, sailing, Alfa Romeos, running and shiraz. He has been told his sense of humour is offbeat, but he states, “if you get Spinal Tap you get me.”
