After working on his first health project, the Austin Mercy Redevelopment, in 2003 as a CAD documenter, Michael knew this was the career path he wanted to pursue. Inspired by the life-changing outcomes and service these projects give to the broader community, he has worked on a wide range of health-related projects, becoming a respected project leader and expert within this sector.

Michael has more than 18 years of industry experience and understands the importance of building client trust through meaningful engagement and communication. With an eye for detail and an appreciation of leading design, Michael is always conscious of ensuring engineering solutions are not only of a high standard but also aesthetically pleasing.

He is currently working on the new operating theatre at Frances Perry House within the Royal Women’s Hospital, a site he worked on early in his career and is excited to return to. Another current project that excites Michael is the University of Melbourne’s new Anatomy Facility which he describes as a unique opportunity to undertake pioneering engineering utilising simulation modelling and prototyping.

Over his healthcare journey and before joining ADP Health, Michael also played a major role on other significant projects including The New Royal Women’s Hospital, Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Labs, Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre bid, and the prestigious new Royal Children’s Hospital. Michael’s involvement in the award-winning Royal Children’s Hospital which delivered many Australian firsts, presented the opportunity to excel in his design and project leading skills.
