We are thrilled to announce the promotions of Jon Shally and Mathew Burke who have both been promoted to Directors at ADP.
As we continue to grow, we feel fortunate to have such a fantastic team of people driving the best outcomes for our clients, building strong and lasting relationships whilst providing their own unique flair and personality which has been integral to the growth of our diverse and evolving team.
Jon joined the ADP team in 2012 as a Senior Electrical engineer and has proven himself to be an excellent leader and team player. As part of the National Leadership team over the last three years, Jon has supported and implemented some great initiatives within our teams.
When asked about his future aspirations within the role, Jon says, “A key thing for me is continuing to create a great place to work. We have a fantastic team here who are sociable, enjoy working together and are passionate about what they do. For me it’s really important to create a great working environment for staff whilst bringing in interesting and challenging projects to support their personal and professional development.”
Jon has delivered projects across a range of sectors, including retail, residential, health and education, with projects ranging from stadiums, to hospitals and large residential developments. Leading ADP’s commercial and workplace division projects of note include; Frasers Property Australia Head Office, Rhodes; Visa Relocation Project in Barangaroo; JWT Head Office, Sydney CBD; iCare Office Fitout, Sydney; Avant Office Fitout, Sydney and PepsiCo Head Office in Chatswood. One career defining project has been, The Landmark in St Leonards. As one of the tallest buildings in the North Shore of Sydney, this development has been a great learning process, raising the bar in design and overcoming several challenges through collaboration and innovative design.
Mathew joined the Sydney ADP team in October 2017 after 15 years working with multi-national engineering consulting companies and the preceding 10 on the contractor side.
In early 2018, the opportunity arose to join the emerging ADP Brisbane office which Mathew jumped at to allow him to be closer to family and achieve a greater work life balance. After two and a half years, the Brisbane team has grown to 16 staff and our portfolio of projects has expanded across a wider range of sectors. The relationship that Mathew and the team have built in Brisbane has offered us some stellar opportunities in Queensland and coupled with high quality communication and delivery on projects has seen great opportunities continue to come through the door.
When asked about his future aspirations, Mathew says, “I continually push my myself and the business to improve and am constantly searching for great projects to further expand our Brisbane office and provide us the opportunity of working with great clients. I truly believe in the value of human connection, quality relationships and hard work which I believe are truly reflected in the way the ADP team operates.”
Mathew’s project experience extends from tall buildings to nuclear facilities, health care, education, laboratories, correctional facilities, residential and retail developments, and large power, water and transport infrastructure. Standout projects for Mathew includes; 320 George Street, a landmark commercial project for ADP in Brisbane’s CBD, playing an integral part in the rejuvenation of the area; the recently completed ariel ski jump at Brisbane’s Sleeman Sports Complex and the first Fairmont branded resort in Australia which will be located in stunning Port Douglas.
