National Director / Sustainability + Regeneration
Our team takes a refreshingly positive and passionate approach. We listen, collaborate, and communicate to fully understand your sustainability challenges, ambitions, and commitments. We take all project considerations and aspirations to devise a sustainability strategy for the successful delivery of your project, from conception to construction, through to your buildings long term operational needs.
ADP is a signature to the World Green Buildings Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment – and have formalised our commitment to reach net zero operating emissions within our jurisdiction of buildings by 2030 and advocate for all buildings to be net zero carbon in operation by 2050.
We are distinctively placed through our engineering design and strategies to influence our clients and partners to embrace new ideas and technologies that drive low carbon outcomes. We believe this positioning can have a transformative effect on the way we build, operate, and repurpose the built environment.
ADP is a founding member of the Melbourne Collaborative of Engineers Declare, part of a global petition uniting all strands of the engineering profession. Engineers Declare is both a public declaration of our planet’s environmental crises and a commitment to take positive action in response to climate breakdown and biodiversity collapse.
As part of this commitment, we are actively advocating to inform our clients that we are facing a Climate Emergency, and that all projects have a role to play in delivering net zero outcomes, regardless of their size or sector.
LFIA supports the International Living Future Institute’s programs (ILFI) in Australia. These include the Living Building ChallengeTM, the built environment’s most rigorous performance standard; the Biophilic Design Initiative that aims to educate, inspire, and reconnect people with nature through the built environment; and Declare, a program that advocates materials transparency. ADP is 2021 Strategic Partners of LFIA, proactively driving the design and delivery of regenerative design across our projects.
Our Sustainability team holds Living Future Accreditations to advise our clients of regenerative design outcomes.
The GBCA is the nation’s authority on sustainable building and communities with a vision to create healthy, resilient, and positive places for people and the natural environment.
ADP is a GBCA member, and we collaborate to lead the sustainable transformation of the built environment. Our team is across multiple technical working groups at the GBCA, providing technical expertise in the development of Green Star rating tools and sit on the GBCA’s advisory panels to help drive the tool’s development and industry engagement.
The International WELL Building Institute is leading the global movement to transform our buildings and communities in ways that help people thrive.
ADP is proactive in driving WELL standards across our projects that enhance human health and well-being. ADP is proactive in driving WELL standards across our projects that enhance human health and well-being. We have a team of WELL Accredited Professionals delivering WELL projects across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
“Our partners play a critical role in enabling our work, but we are one organisation. Big change happens when we partner with other impactful organisations, who share our vision for a living future and who take real action on it through their work too. ADP is certainly one of those”
“Let’s work together to shift the dial in the right direction, decarbonise our built environment, and stay on the right side of history”
